Right now we are in the midst of the lightest time of year. It is a time filled with longer days and summer activities. Despite this, we don’t always feel ‘light’ on the inside. Sometimes we allow worries, our problems challenges or those of others to block out the light. It’s also easy to get sucked in by all the happenings out in the world and focus on the lack, suffering, confusion etc.

The Lightness Mood Lady says “It is often easy to get caught up with the ‘seriousness’ of life. Looking at some of the things going on in the world and in our own lives, we can often get trapped in the ‘heavy’ feeling brought on by all the problems in the world. Of course the more we focus on this, the heavier things feel, and we can forget that a simple shift in the way we think about things can make a huge difference.

So, that’s your invitation this week – to bring in Lightness. Maybe this is in a particular area of your life – somewhere you are feeling stuck or challenged. See if you can use the lightness outside to help you shift on the inside. Just experiment and see what happens. Ask yourself, “What can I do to bring in a bit more Lightness in the situation? or “What might be possible if I lightened this up a little?” Whether it is an issue with a relationship, with money, a challenge at work or anything else, a lot can change by making this ‘simple’ shift. Give it a try and see what you discover!
